A large school district was having challenges with their existing hosted solution. Reoccurring outages and lack of service level agreements were affecting the district's ability to supply reliable dial tone to their users. It had become extremely difficult to make any changes to the system and was very expensive to have the vendor perform those changes. The district was hand cuffed into a technology that would not support their environment.
Transcend United was contracted to deliver a fully integrated IP telephony system for the district office, high school and seven elementary schools over a two year period. The district was using a hosted Cisco solution that had many problems and was very expensive to maintain. The district was advised by its board to shut off the hosted service and procure an IP Telephony solution that could easily be managed and work across all sites. The ability to use wireless handsets and failover between sites was key to the design. The district was looking for partner to work with long term that could bring make them part of the solution and project.
The district is currently satisfying all internal adds, moves and changes on their own and has implemented several of the installs with less and less help from our team. The district has control and visibility into their environment and was able to save 75% a year on total cost of ownership for the new system.

A local community college was tasked by their board to find a solution that would allow them to tie several buildings on campus together. The campus was built in 1905 and the facilities were challenging for getting more capacity for traditional systems. The only way to effectively lay down the foundation for future growth and scale was to implement an IP based platform that could leverage the campus's data infrastructure footprint. The legacy system was centralized in the basement of the facility and was operating at full capacity.
Together, Transcend United and the college decided to build a strategic plan that would uncover all the timelines for the project. Our team worked efficiently to help the college understand all the options that were available to them to make a decision while building a foundation for future initiatives. With a small IT staff and tight budget, our team provided all the on-site services required for the project and continued the support until the project was complete.
